Therapeutic focus areas
I have a master's in Clinical Counseling with a specialization in Latinx Mental Health, where I learned to look at how culture, immigration, family, and identity shape what we carry in our minds, our bodies, and across generations.
Therapy shouldn't be one-size-fits-all. I draw from evidence-based approaches alongside holistic, ancestral, and traditional practices that hold meaning for you.
The places we come from shape so much of who we are.
I left Puerto Rico as a child, but the island never left me. I carry my own version of navigating a new language, a new country, and that in-between space of figuring out where you belong.
My work is grounded in your story. I’m here to listen, ask questions, offer perspective, and help you make sense of what you’re experiencing.
¡Hola! Soy Irmarie, and I’m so glad you’re here.
As a therapist, I value creating a space where you don’t have to leave parts of yourself at the door. I especially enjoy working with the Latinx community because I understand how it can feel to move between cultures, languages, and expectations.
I believe therapy should make room for the whole story: your cultura, family, relationships, values, traditions, and the experiences that have shaped you.
You deserve a space where you can express yourself in the language that feels most natural to you, whether that’s Español, English, or Spanglish.

Supporting my community is an important part of my professional and personal life.
I currently serve on the board of The Firehouse Dream, a nonprofit supporting youth and families through mental well-being, creative entrepreneurship, and financial wellness. I also host therapeutic doodling workshops, where a pen and a blank page become a quiet way back to yourself.
In my free time, I love traveling with my family (I’m the mom to 2 boys), reading, journaling, doing any kind of arts and crafts, and watching a good reality TV show.
